Addressing wedding invitations when the recipient has a PHD
What is the etiquette for addressing inner and outer envelopes for a man with a PHD? Is it appropriate to address them with Doctor (or Dr. as Southworth's etiquette guide says)? The person is a psychologist (and is practicing), but does that make a difference vs. someone who has a PHD in Math?....
