Including moms' given names on invitation

Hi - I promise I have searched all over for the answer to this question - this site, books, other places on the web - and I have not found an answer. If it's here please show me!

ok. all wedding invitations i have seen always have the bride to bes name first..why is this? does it have to be done that way? seems to be the same for personalized wedding items as well. my fiance and i ordered wedding matchbooks, and had his name first then mine. was that ok to do? i was raised.... BUDGET FOR FLORIST

I know a florist whom is really good and I have asked her to be the florist for my Wedding next year.
