TYPES OF WEDDING WEBSITES

Real Weddings: A major trend in the last few years amongst the top wedding sites is the showcase of real weddings.

Normally submitted by professional photographers these sites and posts are a great way to see things all come together. You can get ideas for a wedding theme, see colors schemes in real life and get ideas for shots you want to take yourself.

Some wedding blogs feature the photos alone, while others dig deeper and really get into the story behind couples themselves. At Team Wedding we find that these in-depth stories way more informative because they get to specifics like why you should/shouldn't choose to do a first look before your ceremony, or advice for how the couple saved some money on certain elements.

If you want details, these wedding blogs and posts are right for you.

Niche Wedding Inspiration:

This is true for blogs across all industries, but the beauty of the internet is that we can always find ideas from those who are like minded individuals.

Whether you have already decided that your wedding is going to be country-style affair or whether you want to find ideas for creating the perfect beach wedding, there are lots of niche wedding websites to help you get inspired.

Finding Wedding Vendors:

Planning your wedding means finding wedding vendors. In most cases these are your biggest decisions. Whether you're getting married in your hometown or planning a destination wedding from afar, you will need to make decisions on wedding photographers, flowers, food, drinks, favors and lots more.

The wedding sites we listed above include bloggers who help you find wedding vendors in just about every category. There are vendor guides that are really helpful on most sites, make sure to check them out.

Obviously we're biased at Team Wedding, but you should also check out Top Wedding Sites for a full list of your local wedding vendors. And don't forget that blogs featuring real weddings and styled photo shoots will have a list of participating vendors at the bottom of each post.

BEST WEDDING BLOGS ALL HAVE SOME THINGS IN COMMON

While compiling our collection of the best and most interesting wedding blogs it is clear that while they can all be radically different in their approach they all create, drive and inspire brides while making their life a little easier during what is an exciting and yet very stressful time. They aren't all content juggernauts or household brands but all of the best wedding blogs are similar.

We found that unlike some other niches, in the wedding space most of the sites are all about community. For example, sites like Style Me Pretty were the first to help wedding photographers and stylists show their work. It kicked off a trend where these talented individuals can grow their brand and get in front of brides looking for their product. As a small time creative person you can build brand and bringing business to your market all with the help of a nice blogger who included you in their website. So cool.

It isn't just wedding inspiration blogs that help the community. Clearly many wedding blogs also include a vendor section. While this is often a paid area, many offer it for free. That allows small reception halls, churches, clergy, florists and caterers promote themselves even if they don't have visual content.

The other thing the best wedding blogs have in common is how they drive wedding trends forward. They all look great, talk about and push so that wedding trends and styles are constantly changing and improving. We love that.
