First things first \u2013 you need to make sure that you have the right documents in place before you leave your house in the UK. If you get to the airport and you haven\u2019t remembered your passport of if you\u2019ve forgotten to apply for your ESTA, you\u2019re starting off the trip of a lifetime on the wrong foot. The weather in California is fairly different to the weather you\u2019ll come across here in the UK. Make sure that you not only have the right clothes for your time in the Golden State, but that you have the right clothes for the flight and the subsequent trip back home. You don\u2019t want to spend your honeymoon being ill because you drank the wrong water \u2013 a small first aid kit with all the basic first aid you need can be the difference between the honeymoon you\u2019ve always wanted and trying to spend a day on your honeymoon looking for a pharmacy which sells the meds your new spouse needs to make them healthy enough to leave the hotel room.<\/p>\n

It has been proven that smell is one of the strongest memory triggers. Wear the same perfume or after shave that you wore on your wedding day throughout your honeymoon \u2013 this will help establish the strongest possible memories of your time in California.
