Then consider\u00a0a theme! These ideas wouldn\u2019t be considered appropriate\u00a0for a formal wedding, but if you\u2019re planning a more casual affair,\u00a0they could be great fun. When narrowing down the perfect theme for you as a couple, consider the\u00a0following questions to guide you in the right direction:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What time of year is the wedding scheduled?<\/li>\n<li>How large is your guest list?<\/li>\n<li>Where will your ceremony\/reception take place?<\/li>\n<li>How big is your budget?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Clowning Around<\/h2>\n<p>And for the little kid in each of us \u2026 a circus theme wedding! This would\u00a0be a great outdoor event and would be entertaining for adults and\u00a0kids alike. Picture your yard with loads of balloons under colorful\u00a0canopies. Strolling clowns making balloon characters, a face painter\u00a0and a magician that would go to each table dazzling guests with\u00a0tricks and illusions. Rent a popcorn and cotton candy cart to complete\u00a0the theme.<\/p>\n<p>For centerpieces, consider confetti, clown shoes filled with candy or balloon-animal arrangements. Center your\u00a0theme around the 1940\u2019s Big Band era. When women wore hats with\u00a0veils and over-the-elbow gloves. Men joined the wartime effort which\u00a0would have theme dressed in uniforms. Set your decor like a ballroom\u00a0with an orchestra to play songs of the times. (Think Andrew Sisters,\u00a0Fred Astaire, and Ginger Rogers). Fill the room with balloons and\u00a0a mirrored ball over the dance floor.<\/p>\n<p>For centerpieces, use strings\u00a0of pearls, Champagne bottles, long gloves, scattered rose petals,\u00a0dog tags or champagne flutes with treats. For invitations send a<br \/>\nblack &amp; white photo of you and your fianc\u00e9 in an antique style\u00a0frame. Attach a note with wedding details. This would serve as a\u00a0beautiful keepsake. Or perhaps the \u201cTourist\u201d look of Hawaiian prints.\u00a0Decorate with serpentine throws, confetti, streamers, balloons,\u00a0ice sculptures, Welcome Aboard banners and travel posters.<\/p>\n<p>For centerpieces\u00a0consider <a class=\"broken_link\" href=\"https:\/\/favorideas.com\/shopping\/index.php?task=search&amp;q=lantern\">lanterns<\/a>, small life preservers, small wooden life boats,\u00a0sailor hats, plastic anchors, assorted sea shells or <a class=\"broken_link\" href=\"https:\/\/favorideas.com\/wedding-themes\/beach-themes\/the-starfish-wedding\/\">starfish<\/a>. For\u00a0invitation, make personalized travel brochures, cruise ship boarding\u00a0passes or tiny scroll-like invitations inserted into a small glass\u00a0bottle with sand and a sealed cork.<\/p>\n<p>Let your imaginations run wild. If you need some more ideas, there\u00a0are a number of theme party books on the market. Or hire a coordinator\u00a0to pull together the wedding of your dreams.
