Well, here in the UK, we\u2019ve been reveling in some good weather\u2026 and then some bad weather and then some good… you get the idea! Honestly? It\u2019s been pretty sporadic and unpredictable (more so than normal this year.) So it really doesn\u2019t surprise us that many hens are\u201cjumping ship\u201d (as it were) and choosing to enjoy hen weekends in Ibiza<\/a> rather than Edinburgh hen do\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately though, not all of us have the cash to go abroad at the moment! So to help inspire all the summer starved hens stuck in the UK this season. We\u2019ve compiled a list of exciting activities that\u2019ll mentally whisk you away to warmer climates and have you falling back in love the best of British faster than you can say \u201cEasy Jet!\u201d<\/p>\n

Clay Pigeon Shooting<\/h2>\n

You couldn\u2019t possibly get more British unless you tried (well you probably could\u2026 but anyway!) The point is it\u2019s a very English pastime and one that\u2019s actually quite a lot of fun and not as difficult as it seems. It involves aiming and shooting at flying targets called \u201cpigeons\u201d (don\u2019t worry they aren\u2019t real pigeons!) Full guidance is given so you\u2019ll be instructed on what to do, which means that apart from listening to the instructions all you need to do is channel your inner Lara Croft and show the boys just what you’re capable of!<\/p>\n

Boat Party<\/h2>\n

Did you think that boozy boat parties only happened abroad? We\u2019ll you\u2019d be wrong! Because there are plenty of places in the UK where you can hire a sea faring vessel for the day, hop on board with your girls (wearing your best nautical outfits of course) and spend a good day breathing in the fresh sea air and knocking back a few ocean viewing cocktails.<\/p>\n

Perfume Making<\/h2>\n

You don\u2019t have to visit Paris to indulge in some olfactory decadence: here in the UK we have some mighty fine perfumiers<\/span> of our own. So if you and your ladies fancy a more luxurious hen party (where you even get to keep your little perfume creation) then<\/span> perfume making is a great girly hen activity to do with the girls.<\/p>\n

Coasteering<\/span><\/h2>\n

Definitely for the more active hens: coasteering<\/span> is basically sea level traversing, rock climbing, cliff jumping and swimming into sea! Granted it\u2019s not the warm Mediterranean but New Q
\nuay<\/span> has some of the best and beautiful seaside landscape and scenery! So why not try something a little bit more adventurous and daring doe your hen? It\u2019d be a great thing to boast to future hubby about!<\/p>\n

See? There\u2019s plenty of exciting and strangely unusual things to do for hen parties<\/a> right here in the UK! All you need is to mentally give Great Britain a chance, after all the \u201cgreat<\/em>\u201d is in the country\u2019s title, so take that as a (semi) guarantee that you\u2019ll have a great time during your Great British hen do!<\/p>\n
