You certainly may wear a wedding gown to a civil ceremony. Do keep in mind that the wedding gown should match the formality of the wedding. So, a marriage at city hall would be a perfect setting for a smart white suit. A justice of the peace in your parents living room would be perfect for a gown with a small sweep. And a JP in the ballroom of a five star hotel would be perfect for a bejeweled gown with a train.<\/p>\n
