Mainly because all they\u2019re concerned about is going on an exciting, all singing, all dancing (O.K. maybe more like \u201call drinking, all dancing\u201d)\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestagcompany.com\/\">stag<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However recently we\u2019ve noticed a large influx in couples wanting\u00a0<em>joint<\/em>\u00a0pre-nuptial celebrations. Confused? So were we! But due to the economic climate some couples are trying to save wherever possible, hence the joint dos. So in light of this recent micro-trend (and the fact that we\u2019ve had to organise a few of these\u00a0<strong>\u201cSten Dos\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0ourselves) here are some tips and things to consider before organising one\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.topweddingsites.com\/wedding-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Optimized-shutterstock_4402075.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-5327\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.topweddingsites.com\/wedding-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Optimized-shutterstock_4402075.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"296\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-5327\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.topweddingsites.com\/wedding-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Optimized-shutterstock_4402075.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"296\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Nominate a team leader<\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019re sure your familiar with the term \u201ctoo many cooks spoil the broth\u201d which is why nominating a team leader to orchestrate the \u201cSten Do\u201d is a good idea. That way someone will always be in control of the situation and the generally planning of the party. Plus it\u2019ll also eliminate the problem of people not knowing who\u2019s in charge.<\/p>\n<h2>Make sure everyone wants to go to the same place<\/h2>\n<p>If the boys want to go on an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestagcompany.com\/ibiza-stag-weekends\" target=\"_blank\">Ibiza stag do<\/a>\u00a0but the girls want to go on a London hen weekend then the joint party isn\u2019t going to work. Hopefully it won\u2019t be too difficult to come to a decision\/compromise. Our tip? Invite everyone round and write down on a piece of paper where everyone wants to go. Once you\u2019ve done that you can start the process of elimination. Go through the list and debate about which destination you\u2019re all willing to go to (and how much you\u2019re willing to pay!)<\/p>\n<h2>Make sure the activities are unisex and fair<\/h2>\n<p><em>Paint balling? Spa day? Strip club? Salsa dancing?<\/em>\u00a0How do you choose? Again it\u2019s time for another sit down with the group (and probably a few cocktails just so you can get through it) to discuss what you all want to do during your \u201cSten Do.\u201d Probably best to pick unisex activities that everybody will enjoy like,\u00a0<strong>a booze cruise, party bus or a casino night<\/strong>. After all, there\u2019s nothing more depressing than going on a \u201c<em>Beyonc\u00e9 dance experience<\/em>\u201d only to discover that the boys are better at the routine than you are.<\/p>\n<h2>Pick a unisex group theme (if you\u2019re going to have one!)<\/h2>\n<p>Picking \u201cBurlesque\u201d may be a fun theme for the girls but unless you like seeing the groom\u2019s friends prance around in stockings and corsets then it\u2019d be best to pick a more gender neutral theme. Some of the best \u201cSten Do\u201d themes we\u2019ve seen are \u201cCowboys and Indians\u201d (personally we love a man in wrangler gear), \u201c80\u2019s Yuppies\u201d, \u201cArmy\u201d, \u201c1920\u2019s Great Gatsby\u201d and \u201cDoctors and Nurses.\u201d Now you may opt not to have a theme but in our opinion it really helps brings everyone together.<\/p>\n<p>Other than the points above, organising a \u201cSten Do\u201d shouldn\u2019t be a nightmare.
