There are a million things to consider and what you are going to eat is just one of those things.<\/p>\n<p>But remember, it is your day and it is important to choose what you fancy. Sure, maybe sushi isn\u2019t going to go down well with Grandpa Joe\u2019s dentures, but something fun and hearty like bangers and mash would appeal to all ages. So think outside the box.<\/p>\n<p><b>Choosing your wedding cake<\/b><\/p>\n<p>There are many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cosmopolitan.com\/sex-love\/relationship-advice\/ridiculous-wedding-superstitions\">myths surrounding weddings<\/a>, and that includes the cake. One of them claims if a single lady places a piece of cake under her pillow on the night of the wedding then they will dream about their husband. A bit like a messy crystal ball!<\/p>\n<p>Some people do not like the traditional fruit cake with thick marzipan, so why not chose an alternative such as ice-cream cake? The royals apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-12873098\">had two cakes at their wedding<\/a> in 2011. One of them was a biscuit-based cake, chosen by William.<\/p>\n<p><b>What to have for your wedding breakfast<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You may hear the term \u2018wedding breakfast\u2019 and this relates back to when the bride and groom would be fasting, usually due to religious reasons. The day of the wedding sweets and cakes were offered from the guests &#8211; literally breaking the fast. This term is still used but can be misleading as often the wedding meal can take place late in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>If you are getting married in the afternoon think about a tea party style reception with sandwiches, scones and include champagne and the wedding cake as the sweet. This keeps the costs down.<\/p>\n<p><b>DIY wedding grub <\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you are going DIY with your wedding cuisine, think carefully about the space you are hiring. Is there a fully functioning kitchen with adequate fridges? Make sure you are organised and stock up on essentials with <a href=\"http:\/\/fridgeland.co.uk\/\">catering supplies UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Having a buffet is a good way to reduce costs. You could have everything from quiches, salads and sausages on sticks for the kiddies.
