Hi:
\nI want to host a get together for my close friend who is getting married in March. The couple will be hosting their own wedding and because of the cost they are limiting the wedding to family only. I want to host some sort of a function in honor of her and invite her family as well as the friends that won’t be invited to the wedding but I don’t know how to word the invites for this situation. This shouldn’t be confused with a shower as only those invited to the wedding may be invited. Plus, this cannot be a gift giving situation. So, most probably a tea or brunch to celebrate her wedding would be proper. Please make it known as guest RSVP that gifts are not expected.<\/p>\n
