Hello. We are getting ready to send out our invitations and are having trouble wording that our single guests can bring a date. We don’t have an interior envelope, and we’re thinking of including an insert mentioning it, but we are unsure how to word it. Any ideas? Thanks! <\/p>\n
First, I’d encourage you to find out the name of the guest’s date, if possible. It’s always nicer to receive a personalized invitation. Plus, it helps when making out the place cards for the reception. It’s much more welcoming for your guests to find a place card with their name than “guest” on it. And, for those who want a private wedding, or to be sure that their guests aren’t bringing along some random stranger, naming the “plus one” specifically names who is invited.<\/p>\n
That said, if there is no inner envelope, on the outer envelope you’ll write:<\/p>\n
Mr. Robert Jones
\nand Guest (or he name of the guest)<\/p>\n
