Groomsmen in different color tux and vest

Our wedding colors are Pink and Silver. The bride’s dress is white, the maid of honor’s dress is pink and the bridesmaids dresses are silver. I am trying to match my attire with my groomsmen. My idea is to have my groomsmen in black tuxes with silver vest and tie. My best man to have a black tux with pink vest and tie and me, the groom, wearing a white tux with pink vest and tie. Would this be too much color or would the three sets match together. (bride and groom; maid of honor and best man; and brides mates and groomsmen)If not what would you suggest?

The groom and groomsmen should all wear the same tuxedo (if this is a formal evening wedding) or suit.

Then the groom could wear a different colored tie and vest to stand out from the rest of the bridal party, but not too many different colors.

Groom and groomsmen need to dress the same, with the groom wearing a vest and tie of a different color. Keep to a primary and secondary color. Less is more!

Would you consider my idea being too many different colors for a formal spring wedding? What colors would you suggest?

With regard to silver – use of metallics is usually reserved for evening (so, again I hope this is an after five wedding) and is not easy for a man to carry off (same for pink ) without looking like a Vegas act. But, if the fabric is just in a silver tone (think silver gray, not sparkly) then that could be a very nice selection.

Don’t get annoyed with me just yet I’ll stop asking you questions soon lol. I uploaded our picture given the idea of the pink and silver do you think we would be able pull those colors off. By the way, our wedding is a spring wedding at 2:00 P.M. at a park, riverside.

Hah – we LOVE questions so please keep them coming.

You must have forgotten to attach the photo. Please try again. But, i’d pick one color, pink OR silver or pick one dominant color and use the other color as a slight accent for a small accessory like a hanky or boutonniere.

In any event, tuxedos aren’t the proper attire for a 2PM wedding (especially an outdoor event),so I’m glad we got that clarified.

well the wedding is going to be indoor tenatively but the are outside is really beautiful so I think we’ll do some of our our pictures there. If not a Tux what type suit do you suggest. sorry i did forget to add the picture.

Well, aren’t you guys cute – and very colorful!

Most people aren’t aware that tuxedos aren’t for just any wedding at anytime of day, so don’t feel bad. In fact, many men’s formal wear shop sales people don’t know that (or, they don’t rent suits so they’re just trying to make a sale)! So, if you and the guys are renting, be sure to know what you’re shopping for before you go to the store.

For a formal afternoon wedding, a gray stroller is a better choice. If less formal, then a nice gray suit. I mention gray because that coordinates nicely with sliver and then you can accessorize with pink, if you like. For a really sharp look (IMO) stay with the classics (gray, black, silver).

You both are doing such a great job, excellent answers. And, I love the picture of the stroller! It’s perfect for a formal daytime wedding. And Syxx, you would look great in it!

Thank you so much for your help. Hopefully we can get everything straight and together soon. Our wedding isn’t until March but I want to have as much as possible done as early as possible so there is less stress the last 2-3 months.

Thank you. I hope so. 🙂
