We like to inspire brides-to-be all around, but we get inspired too! We’re shining a light some of the spots we look to for ideas and advice. From local favorites around the country to popular sites brides dive into all around the world, we’ve sharing the best of the best in a whole new way. We’ve chatted with some of the bloggers, creators and founders of some wonderful wedding blogs and got the inside scoop!
Whimsical Wonderland Weddings is an eclectic blog full of couples with heaps of love and personality that shines through. From love stories to stunning photography and a wide range of awesome suppliers WWW aims to give a wide range of fun and fresh wedding inspiration. Creator, Lou, likes to think that the blog is a friendly space where everyone feels welcome and at home. The blog is run by herself and her intern Anna came on board in May to join in the fun. She is a newly-wed and am a mummy to 2 little boys. She adores colour, craft, cardigan weather and smiles.
How did you get started: Whimsical Wonderland Weddings was founded by myself in April 2010, whilst planning my own wedding day. From personal musings and a place bookmark my wedding finds, it grew into a resource followed by couples. When devastatingly me and my (now) husband decided to cancel our wedding 6 weeks before hand (due to health problems), I could not bear to say goodbye to Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and the community I had established. So I continued in my quest to assist and inspire other couples and to promote the amazing UK wedding industry.
Your favorite aspect about blogging and your favorite aspect about your blog specifically: I love nothing more than hearing from the couples that use the blog to plan their day. Whether they have downloaded the free planning tools, connected with my features on mental health or just love reading the real weddings. It gives me a buzz every time. For me that’s what it’s all about, alongside connecting fantastic wedding suppliers with amazing brides and grooms. I love the wide ranging real weddings I am honoured to share and write about. I never take for granted the pleasure of sharing one of life’s most exciting moments and all the love that goes into each celebration. I also adore creating DIY tutorials for WWW, I do love getting my craft on.
