Listing deceased grandparents in program

My fiance’ and I both have deceased grandparents (I only have my grandmother on my dad’s side, and he only has his dad’s parents). I’m making the programs for the wedding, a I’m not sure how to list our decease grandparents. Here’s what I’ve been thinking…

Grandparents of the Bride
Mrs. Jane Doe and the late Mr. John Doe
The late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Smith

Grandparents of the Groom
Mr. and Mrs. Will Brown
The late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Allen

Also, I was thinking about listing the living grandparents under “Grandparents of the Bride/Groom” and having an “In Memory of” section at the end of the program list. What do you suggest?

Thank you for your help!

Dear Imward,

The function of the program is supposed to be to help identify the significant players to the guests. The order of events is also listed to help them understand what is going on. So, to list those who are no longer living just may be very confusing. Plus, these people aren’t in attendance. It is much better to list them as: “in memorium” under all the names of those in attendance.

Best wishes,
