Mother-Son dance suggestions

Does anybody have any suggestions for songs to use for the Mother-Son dance during the reception? I’m at a loss for ideas. Anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

There’s so many mother/son wedding songs to choose from, but usually the groom makes the choice of songs to honor his mother. Here is a list of reception songs.

I agree, that makes a nice surprise to the mother when the son selects it personally.

Here is a short list of songs that have been used successfully in the field with our clients. Certainly, Mother-Son songs are more difficult to find than Father-Daughter dances:

Song for My Son – Mikki Viereck – this song has perhaps the deepest lyrics about the love between a mother and son (from the perspective of the mother to the son).
Through the Years – Kenny Rogers (country)
My Wish – Rascal Flatts (country)
All to You – DJ Keo (country) – this song has perhaps the deepest lyrics about the love between a mother and son, from the perspective of the son to the mother).
Stand By Me – Ben E. King (soul)
You Raise Me Up – Josh Groban (classical)
I’ll Always Love My Mama – The Intruders (R&B/Soul)
Singing a Song for My Mother – Bohannon (R&B/Soul)
A Song for Mama – Boyz II Men (R&B/Soul)
Can’t Smile Without You – Barry Manilow (pop vocalist)
The Wind Beneath My Wings – Bette Midler (pop vocalist)
Forever Young – Alphaville (80s)
The Man You’ve Become – Molly Pasutti (ballad)
Simple Man – Lynrd Skynrd (classic rock)
What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong (classic)
