Losing Weight for the Wedding with The Fresh Diet

Need to lose weight for the wedding? There’s a ton of weight loss programs out there, so how’s a girl (or guy) to find out what really works and is safe/healthy, without wasting a pocketful of cash? Been there…now what?

Relax, sit back and let me do the work for you. Over the next couple of week’s I’m going to try The Fresh Diet and report back, answering the important questions most dieters have like, Is the food any good? Is it hard to follow? Is it a lot of work?

Haven’t heard of The Fresh Diet? It was developed by a professionally trained chef back in 2005 and is based on 40% carbohydrates, 30% proteins and 30% fats.  The Fresh Diet delivers three healthy, freshly prepared meals and two snacks (never frozen, freeze-dried or vacuum packed like some of those others I’ve tried, and hated, before) right to your home each day. Your job? Heat and eat!  It’s like having your own in-house private chef, but without the huge expense! Terrific for the busy bride planning a wedding.

To make the program even easier, I’ll have a member login area where I can have access to certified dietitians and an online meal planner where I can select the foods I like or let them know about any dietary restrictions.

Here’s a sample menu from The Fresh Diet

Breakfast: Goat Cheese, Baby Spinach & Sun-Dried Tomato Omelet with Seven Grain Toast

Snack: Grilled Canadian Bacon Over Baby Arugula with Fresh Honeydew & Toasted Pine Nuts

Lunch: Mushroom Souffle & Gruyere Cheese Panini on Whole Wheat Ciabatta Bread

Dinner: Fillet of Chilean Sea Bass with Citrus Chipotle Sauce, Haricot Vert and Sun-Dried Tomato Couscous

Dessert (YES!) Sugar-Free Chocolate Cupcake with Mocha-Hazelnut Cream Cheese Frosting

Those sound yummy to me but, of course, if that’s not to your liking you can always go online to change you meal choice.

There are daily caloric values to choose, the most common are, 1200 – 1400 calories a day for the ladies and 1600 – 1800 calories for the men. I chose the 1600-1800 calories because I plan on working out every day. I’ll let you know how THAT goes too!

Sounds convenient and healthy, right? I can’t wait to get started. I’ll be back from time to time to give you updates on how I’m doing. Stay tuned!
